Best place in St. Pete for breakfast! The eggs Benedict are perfection and come in many different styles. Do yourself a favor and get a helping of the hash brown casserole, too. Space is maximized for seating not walking, so you'll be close to your neighbors, but waits are not terrible most days and the friendly staff keeps your coffee mug full!

I was a judgy-McWrong Face. Based on my last breakfast experience at a Skyway southern style greasy spoon, I fought my wife on her recommendation we eat here. They addressed every stereotype I had- the place is impeccably clean, the use of oil and butter is light, the service is great and get ready for this world-beater: they actually deduct $1 if you don't want cheese on your omelette. I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars because I thought we could have gotten a better value for the garden omelette; it's not a complaint that needs addressing though; I hear the line gets out the door on the weekends. We'll be back.

From the taste of the food to the atmosphere, everything was lacking real substance. The menu for starters is a a paired down version of Waffle House's menu. There's nothing inspiring about this breakfast menu. If you like a simple menu without any frills then you will like it here. I ordered the Benedict and i was sorely disappointed. The eggs were overcooked to the point they were hardboiled and the hollandaise sauce was a flavorless buttery sauce - way to much butter as if someone forgot an ingredient when making the sauce. My boyfriend ordered a meat lovers skillet and was unimpressed. We both agreed that this place did not qualify for 4 stars. I will give them high praise for the their pancakes! Light, fluffy buttermilk pancakes. Now they definitely can compete with other restaurants in that respect. The other detail that is overlooked here besides the food is the atmosphere. It feels like you are eating in a very outdated poorly kept high school cafeteria. I actually dont mind and even prefer eating in older places but Most breakfast places have some sort of theme - hens, 50s diner, pigs, artwork from local artists, etc. - not here. The only wall decoration is the health inspection report! There's just nothing fun about eating here. I had high hopes for this place but trust me folks, this place doesn't even make the top 5 best restaurant for breakfast in St Pete. If you want a good breakfast, go to Skyway Jacks or Trip's Diner.

I had really high hopes for this restaurant based on the reviews and the line. However the taste and quality of the food is just ok for me. I can see how people like coming here for the large portions and the prices are ok too. And if they can improve on the quality of the pancakes and hollandais sauce that would make things much better. My waiter was super nice and the entire staff is very friendly.

Super Popular with local families for breakfast on the weekends, I've been coming here for years and this place seems to be a staple in the community. Many families have memories and history here like mine's.

Typical diner food. We come here for breakfast on Sunday when we run errands. Be prepared to wait in line...but it moves fast! I've never tried anything besides breakfast, which I can say I've never been disappointed in what I get!

Great spot...you might have a little wait but its very worth it. Came for breakfast so delish. We had biscuits and gravy and the hash brown casserole were divine. Staff was very friendly and very quick to refill your coffee cup.

My father is more a fan than myself, but that's not to say the food is bad by any means. Perhaps it hasn't grown on me as much yet. He often gets the Lexington Benedict. I've recently been getting 12 Blackened Gulf Shrimp with hash browns, and a short stack. Had the hash browns a little too crispy once, but had them this morning and they were great. The gulf shrimp are a little small, but they pack a nice breakfast punch. The pancakes... Have to get them every time. Warm, well sized, fluffy as all can be, and just some of the best pancakes I've had. I can be a bit picky when it comes to good pancakes. I'll have some of the Lexington Benedict which he gets on an english muffin. The hollandaise sauce isn't too thin like I've seen in other places, the ham is well cooked, and the eggs are alright, I'm not usually a fan of eggs. There can be a line out the door, just wait, it usually moves fairly quick. If you have older folks in your party, they can go inside and sit down on the two benches they have inside. Have some younger party member keep your spot. When you get your check, you pay up at the front counter. Lexington Benedict and 12 Black Gulf Shrimp, and Pancakes all heat up well at home too. Come with the family for brunch, or a friend for some coffee and a bite. You'll be there a little while. If you see something you want and it's clearly breakfast time, but what you want is on the lunch or dinner menu, they've never turned me away from ordering what I want.

I love this place. The servers are always nice. It's a family owned business and you'll often see the owner running around and his son at the register. It's been busy every time I've gone but no more than a 10min wait. I'd wait much longer. The eggs benedict are amazing and the cheesy grits are soo good. Doesn't help me much on my diet but if I am going to break it- this is where I'm going. Oh sure they have salads but why get a salad when you can have something smothered in cheese?

There's a reason this place is usually packed when we go there for breakfast: Great food, good prices, friendly, efficient servers. I'm looking forward to trying it out for lunch or dinner.

I'm not really sure why this place is so popular or so busy. Maybe I ordered wrong, maybe it was a mediocre day, but this really wasn't that great. My girlfriend and I came for breakfast Saturday morning. I was surprised by the setup, but she had read some yelp reviews or tips and knew what to expect, but the lack of a wait list was weird to me - just having everyone stand in a roped off line until tables became available is an odd way to run a restaurant. We got there and there were maybe 4 or 5 groups ahead of us. It went reasonably quickly, though the table we were sat at was open the full 20+ minutes while we were waiting, which means any of the groups in front of us could have been sat faster. However, perhaps that server just got double sat or a large party sat or something and they were giving him a break. Once we sat down, we were brought drinks pretty quickly, but otherwise, our server was not great. He was friendly and answered questions, but it took a while for him to show up each time he came by. To be fair, he was slammed, but the entire restaurant was slammed. Maybe they needed more people. Girlfriend ordered a benedict, and the hollondaise (sp?) sauce was pure butter. Normally, I wouldn't call that a problem, but it didn't taste like it should. I ordered a scramble, and it was okay, but it was nothing I couldn't have made at home. And I know, most breakfasts can be made at home, but I hope for something - presentation, an ingredient, etc - that would make it different. This was just a lump of egg, onion and ham covered in cheese. Wasn't presented well at all, and it tasted okay at best. The hashbrowns were nothing special; no better then store bought, and not even as good as waffle house - although my girlfriend got their hashbrown casserole and really enjoyed it. The one positive I will give them is their buttermilk pancakes were very good and they serve it with warm syrup. Very fluffy and moist and lots of buttermilk flavor. Definitely extra points there, and maybe enough to make it 3.5 stars, but frankly, it was probably what saved it from being 2 or 2.5. There are better places in Tampa and St. Pete for breakfast.

Hash brown casserole is in and of itself worth visiting for. Weekend mornings, you'll most likely spend a bit of time in line. Weekday mornings, there's also a solid chance you'll be in the same line. I've often wondered: where do these people come from? It doesn't matter - they're all here for the food. It's nothing fancy, that's for sure... but why would you want it to be? I've had the corned beef hash, the pancakes, the Euro-style scramble, the list goes on, but it all satisfies the soul. If you're looking for fast food, look elsewhere. If you're looking for fine dining, drive on by. If you're looking for down-home, stick-to-your-ribs, where-did-my-hangover-go? food... come on in and join the party. You won't look back.

Good place for brunch any day of the week. I like that they have a decent sized menu and they maintain a good, consistent quality, which some places with larger menus do not. Also I've come here on a Thursday late morning, and on a Sunday at high volume brunch time and the food was the same each time. Black stone Benedict is my favorite.

The food was decent; but honestly with a consistent wait like I've seen since I first noticed this restaurant, I honestly expected a little more. The menu was typical diner, but the same combinations worded four different ways with little variation. The server was friendly and helped with the menu when I asked about swapping foods. Decor wise, though, it was sorely lacking and just a typical outdated booth style diner.

Dropped in this morning after several years, even though they are close to me. As soon as I walk in, two friendly ladies behind the cash register welcome me. One asks how many and leads me to a booth with both a window view and directly in front of their huge TV screen. Watching ESPN is not my thing, but oh well. The same lady brings the menu. What would you like to drink? Coffee please. A young Hispanic lady appears almost instantly with a cup plus a bundle of little creamers. Less than five minutes later another waitress takes my order, ham egg and cheese on a bagel plus hash browns. Lots of wood throughout, tables and chairs plus entirely wood paneling along one wall. The inner wall is upper wood paneling and lower red brick paneling ( real bricks? ) Light globes along the side walls, plus unusual decorative ceiling fan. Vintage framed fishing photos along one wall. My order appears in about ten minutes, warm with melted cheese and tasty bagel, just right. Flat slab of hash browns was OK. Hispanic waiter reloads cup, then again by my order waitress. Superior service. Plenty of booths and tables at either side of central cashier counter. The ham egg and cheese at $3.99 is reasonable, but 2.25 for skimpy hash browns not. Their omelet prices are higher than most. Overall a great breakfast with outstanding service at this popular place. My order waitress brings the check and says the magic words - Have an Nice Day. Yes it is and will be back.

Came here for the first time this wknd. It's a small little restaurant but it was packed with ppl. They specialize in serving breakfast all day but they did have a small dinner menu on the back. The price is very low which is probably why I saw a lot of ppl there. This place kind of reminded me of a iHop or Denny's except the service is much better. I order 2 eggs scrambled, with a hash brown and bacon. It also came with toast. The food was good and came out in about 15 mins or so. I decided to try the sweet tea which I didn't care for but my boyfriend enjoyed his. The staff along with our waitress was very friendly and attentive. This place would be great for large families or college students on a budget.

My hubby and I love this place. You always know the food is going to be great if lines are out the door. We love the service as we are always seated promptly. We also love the fact that our drinks are always kept filled by the young people that work there. We love their breakfast and dinner offerings. You have to try the fried fish and shrimp dinner. Yum!

You might have to wait in line for a few minutes before you're seated. And then you won't be comfortable; you'll feel a little cramped. . And you'll notice the decor feels pretty cheap, or you'll wonder where the decor is at all. But then your food will arrive and you'll be happier. Your coffee comes and you'll be impressed that it's actually a grade level better than your dad's. Your egg scramble has just a touch too much cheese, but your sausage will be spicy (and you like your sausage spicy!). You'll gobble up your grits because they are creamy and plentiful. You'll dive into your pancakes because they will be fluffy. And when your paying your check at the counter, you'll think, "My service was good, my food was delicious and this is a fair price. Boy, that Chad guy is right. Compared to other St. Pete breakfast's, this place deserves four stars" and then you'll go on Yelp and give me some positive clicks.

Another fine diner with long history and faithful regulars. It's menu is chock-full of comfort foods from before dawn to after dusk. Hearty breakfasts, brisk lunch trade and lots of standard diner fare & specials for dinner, including some non-standard dishes. But no pretension or illusions of fine cuisine. Prices are right, portions are generous, service is efficient, setting is friendly and comfortable....what is not to like here?

We just moved here and this is definitely a great breakfast place. We've been here a couple of times for breakfast and it's rapidly becoming a regular. There always seems to be a line out the door but for us the wait has been short. They have actual hash browns - not home fries - and they are quite tasty. We've tried the pancakes both times. She got the sweet potato both times and I've tried blueberry and banana pecan. Definitely worth your time and come hungry.

Very good basic southern style breakfast for cheap. No frills but good food. The line out the door testifies to the quality and the line moves fairly quickly. I would give this 4 stars but it's not rocket science to make butter laden grits. I would say that the Blackstone Benedict is a nice choice but order the half unless you want left overs.

Service was slow but very friendly; first three bites of eggs and hash brown were delicious until I got to the well-done crispy fly that made its way off the grill and onto my plate. They still charged us for my mother's meal which also had hash browns. I left a tip for the friendly server but we will not be returning.

I came here on a Saturday morning. There was a line almost out the door but I waited and it didn't take long for them to seat me. The service was wonderful, almost every employee told me good morning or asking how I was doing as I walked by towards my table. Coffee is not strong but has a distinct flavor that I welcomed to my same-coffee-every-week-day-morning palette. It got even better when I sipped it while eating, not unlike a wonderful pairing of wine and an entree. After a fun night I wanted a big meal to start off my day. I asked the waitress if the country fried steak was good, and she said yes but it is a steak. I shrugged that off thinking of course it is a steak. So I ordered the country fried steak which came with eggs and a side(I choose hasbrowns). I also ordered a side of pancakes and the waitress told me it would be cheaper to get the pancakes as my entree side and then a separate order of hasbrowns and I said "Let's do it!" to which she replied "Oh, that's what we gonna do." Not until it arrived did I understand that the country fried steak IS a STEAK. This thing was a large cut wrapped in delicious peppery fried batter and topped with gravy. The gravy was very tasty but a little salty and not as good as the gravy from Munch's. But you can't have it all, right? Pancakes were amazing and they give you a full bottle of warmed up syrup. I am pretty sure I leaned against my seat and rolled my eyes back with every bite from this meal. I probably looked weird to the other patrons. I tipped more than 20% because everyone was so nice despite being very busy. I think the bus boy noticed my indulgence of the food because he asked if it was my first time and if I liked it. Hell yes I liked it. This place is great, with my breakfast, side order, coffee, and 22% tip it came out to $17. But I took half my food home because the portions are generous so it actually came out to two meals. You should definitely give this place a try and you'll see why the line to wait is usually out the door.

Everything is good, but the sweet potato pancakes are just ridiculous. If there's a line when you get here, just wait in it. It moves fast and it's well worth it!

Homestyle cooking, rustic and homey, clean and great staff. There's a reason people wait in line, but the line moves quickly, no worries. Very popular with locals and lots of return visits by visitors.

Came on a Sunday brunch time frame (9am) and it was packed. The parking lot overflowed further down the street, which in my mind means this is where the locals go for food. Unlike the other reviews, I was not here for post hangover cure. Does semi food coma cure count? Even though we waited in a line to sit down we only waited 10 min (where as the large post church crowds are waiting longer). This is very much a diner, the menu screams it but I don't see desserts showcased everywhere. That might be a good thing since the portions were large. Having glorious thick bacon was great, a server that humored us, and great tasting coffee.. I really cant complain. On a side note, this is average for me, the interior is a bit run down and very cramped. The food, while very tasty (and again, I was in post food coma state) wasn't anything extravagant. It is absolutely a local joint and close to the beach, which can be convient. So if you're ok with food that tastes like Dennys/IHOP etc, but want to support a local mom/pop joint, check Kissin Cuzzins out.

All who speak ill of Kissin Cuzzin's speak blasphemy. This is the spot, you know what I'm talking about. The "what the hell did i do last night, someone cure this hangover" spot. The breakfast here is amazing, first time i came i had the biscuit sausage gravy breakfast of love, and it was nothing but lovely. The 2nd time i decided to get myself a western omelette with hash browns, bro it was just what the doctor ordered. Rack and Stack Kissin Cuzzin's can go toe to toe with any Breakfast in the Bay. Disregard the old dirty decor, and embrace this place for what it is. A beautiful beautiful land where Breakfast is King.

My mom was there for her first time last week and mentioned it to me. We went today and let me say by saying it was amazing! We will deff be returning soon and will probably become regulars there!

I come from NJ, the land of diners, and one thing I truly miss about home, is being able to go out at any time, day or night, and get a fix. Something sweet-greasy from a laminated menu page; something with your choice of "brown" or "light" gravy on the side. I never said this was a healthy habit! My family ate in diners at least twice a week when I was a kid, so it's just a ritual that speaks to my soul... After being in Florida for quite some time, I have had to make a few concessions when it comes to my diner food. I cannot get it at any time, (no, Denny's doesn't count) any where. My potatoes are now hashbrowned instead of homefried. Gravy has an entirely different meaning, and for some reason, there are grits everywhere. But cultural barriers aside, Kissin' Cuzzins scratches my itch. Generous portions at reasonable prices, fluffy REAL pancakes (much better than MY mom ever made), and wonderful, friendly service that fills your coffee cup with a knowing smile. My inner child is comforted while my adult self is caffeinated.

Dear Hangover, I enjoyed spending time with you, I really did, but someone new has come in to my life and has torn us apart. Yes, you provide headaches, and force me to wear sunglasses even in my own house, but Kissin' Cousins offers so much more. Great-sized portions, home-style cooking, perfect corned-beef hash; the list goes on. I'm sure we'll meet again in the (near) future, but just know that since I've found Kissin' Cousins, I can't spend nearly as much time with you as I used to. I'd say that I miss you, but we both know I'd be lying. See you Next Weekend!, Charlie P.S. These are some of the best pancakes I've ever had!
(5)
Lindsay H.
The parking lot is full just about every morning but especially on weekends! The line goes quick but you can tell this is a local hot spot when you enter the building. As the other reviewer said, the place is a little run down on the inside and has a diner feel, but it's much larger than a typical diner. But for no reason should the ''run down'' feeling keep you away. This is a classic spot to eat on 34th street in St.Petersburg. They have incredible chocolate chip pancakes and a wide breakfast menu with daily specials. The lunch and dinner menu consists of sandwiches to hot meals with mashed potatoes. I would suggest breakfast over lunch or dinner though. I've never had a problem here, and I've been numerous times over my lifetime. The same servers are all typically still there.

Great food....real quality...fast service even on a crowded morning, and priced less than competitive breakfast and lunch oriented chains. One of those places where the employees have worked there for years, enjoy their job and do it very well. I was also taken by the total diversity of the customers........everyone and primarily locals pack this place every day.

Four stars overall...FIVE STAR country fried steak. We are on a bit of a health kick, but came here for our "traditional" Sunday Morning breakfast out (usually to Munch's or St Pete Diner...were on our way to the latter but decided to check out why this place was so packed "just once"). The prices - at first blush - appear to be on the higher side of "diner fare"...that is, until you receive the food. Copious amounts given, liberal quantities stacked, scooped, ladled, prepped and presented. I could not finish my food. OK...I will just say this...the Country Fried Steak is: - As big as a house (how does 10" long, 5" wide and and three quarters inch thick strike you?) - Fresh and tasty - Freaking delicious It won highest accolades and had all the marks of quality of an excellent schnitzel that I have had in various fine German establishments. I am not kidding! That said, it was the standout item. Nothing else quite matched it (read on for other items). Second honors went to the tastier-than-you'd-expect hash brown casserole, which had this sort of sour cream, garlic and herb thing going on. Not the most amazing things ever, but definitely up there and well worth the 60 cent upgrade. I had the Black Oak smoked ham, which tasted "brined" - nowhere near as "authentic" as the fried steak above, and you could (not "cut" but) "push" through it by literally bearing down on it with the edge of your fork, which in my experience is the mark of a packaged-in-brine, quasi-preserved and lower quality pork product. I would not order the smoked ham again, although it otherwise did not offend. I had the pancakes which were not the most amazing things I have ever had, but were good. Darn good. Would probably order again, but not crave. What else...coffee was excellent for American Joe. Waitresses were like ninjas, handling the throngs (and full tables) like pros, and with genuine delight. I appreciated that. If you are a fried steak fan, this is your place. Otherwise, JL had it right, it just generally "hits the spot," if not brilliantly, at least without at all offending and in extra-generous amounts.

Good all round traditional American offerings, a bit greasy for my taste. Crowded with a line of people waiting each time I've been. Can be very noisy. Has that truck stop feel, eat and get on with the day. Not relaxing. However the staff is very friendly, service is fast. It's not my first pick, but go as it is a local neighborhood meeting place.

Maybe I'm being generous with my star count because this place handled my hangover like a pro. It's your typical American diner in the style of Denny's/IHOP, etc. It's dirtier and a little more rundown looking inside, but hot damn the food hit the spot. The Aussie had been craving eggs benedict for days and finally got his fill, with a super yummy looking side of "casserole" - hash browns with all sorts of yummy stuff mixed in - sour cream and herbs perhaps? He wasn't sharing, so I can't be sure. Stingy bastard. I had possibly the yummiest breakfast treat I've ever had. They were calling it a "European style" omelette and sweet mother of breakfast, they should serve this damn thing in every breakfast restaurant nationwide, nay, WORLDwide. It's an omelette with the hashbrowns mixed in, covered in cheese and baked a bit (oh alright, they probably just throw it under a Salamander for a minute to melt the cheese). It has onions, ham, tomatoes and every morsel of deliciousness in Florida if you ask me, and here you are, reading my review, so I'll say that counts as asking. It comes with three pancakes as a side if you want 'em, but I couldn't even touch them and I only made it 3/4 of the way through my omelette too. I will seriously fantasize about this until I can successfully create it at home. Note to self: you probably need to use more butter. Yeah, more than that even.

Visiting from out of town. We already knew it was going to be good when we saw the line outside. But wow! Breakfast was amazing! I had a mushroom Swiss omelette with pancakes and the hash brown casserole. The hash brown casserole is to die for! My boyfriend had chicken and waffles and couldn't stop raving about it throughout the whole entire meal.
Great pancakes!yes if you want regular plain good light fluffy pancakes with a little golden brown this is the place to go to, this is the main reason we stop here for breakfast anytime we're going to St. Pete in the morning, on Sundays there's quite a bit of a wait though but it does move faster than it looks. The omelets are very good also, they do not oil them down like many other places. I can not comment on lunch or dinner as I have only had breakfast there. It's a older restaurant that has a diner type setting that's had a lot of wear and tear but is kept clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Parking can be a little challenging on Sunday mornings as the place is running pretty much at capacity.

Two words is all that need to be said... Chicken Nuggets!!! The last thing I would ever think to order for breakfast, let alone anytime from anywhere but McDonald's, but these aren't the fake chicken Frankenmeat you get from Ronald's house, these are hand cut, and battered juicy breast meat chunks fresh fried and dressed in sauce to your liking. I got mine tossed with Barbalo (mix of bbq and buffalo) and the taste was outrageous! Melted in my mouth! Came with two eggs and hashbrown casserole and Texas toast! I was so hungry I got a side of grits as well and man am I glad I did! They were perfect! Didn't need salt or butter and we're the perfect consistency. Washed it down with a bloody Mary and what we have here is a winner winner chicken nugget dinner! Err... Breakfast!

We were out driving looking for a place for breakfast and the universe aligned to bring us here By universe I mean my hungry belly and a long line of old and young ,white and black, ghetto and non ghetto. Yes I said it. That's when u know a place is good. Checked yelp and reviews were awesome. They were quick turning tables. It does but look like it's from 1970, but that's a true hole in wall. All I know us I got my mimosa, some Chicken custom made and some slamming food. Go and get ur eat on

I read a lot of great reviews about this place so it prompted me to try this. Overall it was good, not over the top, nothing unique. It had a steady flow of business; we waited in line outside. But thier menu is pretty basic. IHOP is more creative with pancake and french toast selections than this place is. Not to take anything away from this place, it's good but the menu is simple and I prefer to try new things when traveling.

The eggs Benedict are epic! The service was great. They also serve alcohol. Always packed in the morning so expect a bit of a wait. Portions are large but they offer half orders. I love going here for breakfast and will keep doing so while in love in the area. You know a place has great food if they don't screw up breakfast. Hash brown casserole is very tasty and so is the country fried steak breakfast. Lots of seating.

We've been there a handful of times now and we have never left disappointed! The hash brown casserole and cheese grits are delicious and a staple with our meals every time. Our waitress is always so sweet and helpful with new breakfast options. This has become one of our favorite breakfast joints!

All the previews are on point. I'm visiting from Atlanta with my hubby who is from here. When we pulled up there was a line outside the door. I was prepared for a long wait but we were seated fairly quick. As soon as we were seated they took our drink order and shortly thereafter our food order. The grits are very good! I didn't order them initially but when my husband saw the look in my eyes when his came, he ordered a side for me. I didn't even have to add butter. That's rare for restaurant grits. If you ask for cheese in your eggs, you will get CHEESE in your grits LOL. As a matter of fact, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they don't have cheddar cheese. I don't eat restaurant pancakes much but I did taste hubby's (can you tell my fork stays in his plate? LOL). He said he doesn't know which he liked most, the garden omelette or banana pecan pancakes. My little forkful taste revealed both were pretty good.

I was in invited to have breakfast here w/a friend & she was raving about how amazing the fried chicken is here. When we pulled up the line was literally out the door & parking was very limited. One we finally got in the door I noticed that the place was a little dingy (but it didn't bother me because I figured the food was amazing). We were seated rather quickly by the emergency exit (when someone walked out of & the alarm didn't go off). I order the fried chicken, scrambled eggs, hash browns & wheat toast. I was told that the chicken would take 20 minutes (which I was ok with). The food came out & it looked amazing but then I tasted the chicken & it was BLAH. It was cooked perfectly but it lacked seasoning. The eggs, hash browns & toast were average. Our server was friendly & you get large portions that are fairly priced. But in my opinion the fries chicken is not worth the wait. Maybe I'll go back to try something different.

I was just here for the first time recently and it won't be my last! The service was friendly the place is comfortable and they serve cocktails in the morning. Am cocktails is an essential at a breakfast place when you work night shift. The portion sizes are respectable but not huge. I had the French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and sausage. It was better than I can make at home.I like the fact that Unlike IHOP they don't leave the syrup sitting at the table all day.The Decour is very dated but I wasn't surprised by that. It's a diner type place it don't have to be stylish to be good. This place aint fancy it's just yummy.

Three words: Best grits ever. Creamy but not too creamy. Gritty but not too gritty. Buttery, and if you don't like them that way, you're in the wrong place. Everything I've ordered here has ways been prepared well. Service is decent. Be prepared to wait for a table. Sure, some of the breakfast dishes are greasy, but what diner food isn't? The only lunch items I've had are the fish sandwich (grilled) and the tuna melt. Both were good, but I still prefer the breakfast. If you're looking for a good diner style breakfast and awesome grits, look no further.

I've never been disappointed here! I come here whenever I am in town. It is a very busy place and there is a wait but that should be expected because they have a reputation of having great food and great service!! The pancakes are the best. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast food!

Two words: Lexington Benedict. Oh.My.God. You have the option to get a half order, which I think would be a sin against mankind since there is only a two dollar price difference. Not being a huge quantity eater I still order the full since it warms up really well. The Blackstone benedict is also divine. They always poach the eggs perfectly and will also do over easy for your benedict, which I think is really nice. Just my opinion but the egg lays better over the huge portion of the rest of the meal. They offer hash brown casserole but I prefer the regular hash browns since the casserole doesn't have cheese (??) We also always order fried green tomatoes to start and they are served with a really good thick ranch dressing. Always piping hot and perfectly cooked. He loves their grits but I don't eat those. Ever. Service is always good. Don't let the line out the door scare you away, it moves fast. The interior could use some updating but we drive from Largo to St. Pete just to have breakfast here. It's THAT good.

Amazing breakfast! Get there early, very popular breakfast spot...especially Sundays. Friendly, fast service. Everything I've tried has been yummy!!!

I love the breakfasts here. I always get the eggs Benedict. The hash brown casserole is really good, but super rich. The prices are average, and you can get half orders of the Benedict's. Little tip...prepare to wait on the weekends, because this place gets packed.

Who knew ...we'll I've lived in St.Pete a very long time and generally I don't at any establishment on 34th street because it's usually a pretty undesirable area. I have passed Kissin Cuzzins a million times but Sunday friends convinced me to try it out. I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Yes, it's a dinner but they have pretty good diner food and their service was very good. Our server was very happy , friendly and attentive. She did a great job! We ordered beguim waffles, veggie omlete, and Eggs Benedict . The waffle was good but not hot enough the butter didn't melt, the veggie waffle was great and overall the Eggs Benedict was good but the eggs were way overpoached to the point they were like a hard boiled egg in some parts of the egg. The hollandaise sauce was good, not too thick. We had the hash brown casserole, it had great flavor but a little salty for me but still very good. Overall a good diner expierence, so I'm giving Kissin Cuzzins a 3.5. If you go on a Sunday, be sure to beat the church crowd because the line is very long if you don't.

Just great diner food!

Kissin' Cuzzins is an old family favorite. Its probably the first restaurant I ever ate at. I've never had a bad meal or bad service from them. I love everything from the pancakes to the dinner food. You get good portions and sometimes a bit of a wait but it is definitely worth it!

(3)Happiness L.
(3)Gabriella D.
Super Popular with local families for breakfast on the weekends, I've been coming here for years and this place seems to be a staple in the community. Many families have memories and history here like mine's.
(4)Kat E.
Typical diner food. We come here for breakfast on Sunday when we run errands. Be prepared to wait in line...but it moves fast! I've never tried anything besides breakfast, which I can say I've never been disappointed in what I get!
(3)Patti A.
Great spot...you might have a little wait but its very worth it. Came for breakfast so delish. We had biscuits and gravy and the hash brown casserole were divine. Staff was very friendly and very quick to refill your coffee cup.

awesomeness without the box!!!!!! much happier than yesterday somewhere else. food, service, price, and place were exceptional! !!!

(4)Rachel M.
(5)Lynne C.
There's a reason this place is usually packed when we go there for breakfast: Great food, good prices, friendly, efficient servers. I'm looking forward to trying it out for lunch or dinner.
(5)Ana B.
My friend and I came for breakfast. Employees were prompt and friendly. i would recommend traditional Benedict. Gravy & biscuits was just okay.
(3)Todd B.
(3)Jim W.
(5)Brian C.
(4)Kate T.
(3)Francisco G.
(5)Rhena S.
(3)Leonard C.
Best simple breakfast around at the best price. Service is excellent owner is always on site fast turn over on tables
(5)E B.
Yum!
(5)Chad U.
(4)Catherine P.
Always love eating here the food is always good and servers are friendly. I am would recoomend this to anyone for a good meal.
(5)Mike S.
(3)Rad B.
(5)Indio V.
Best breakfast joint in St. Pete. A can't loose deal. Good prices, good service, quick with food and most of all great tasting wonderful food.
(5)Jules R.
Ridiculously good food! I recommend the French toast, bacon, and hash browns. Our server Amber was so sweet and personable. For the first time in a dining experience, I now see why servers have regular customers. Great experience!
(5)Jason C.
Food was fantastic. Fast service. We got a table right away. The long line moves very quick. Try it for sure. Also great crinkle fries if your eating lunch.
(5)Peter K.
Fantastic breakfast place, but expect a line (the place is always packed). Staff turns tables pretty quickly though.
(5)Jack S.
(3)Ae A.
Service was slow but very friendly; first three bites of eggs and hash brown were delicious until I got to the well-done crispy fly that made its way off the grill and onto my plate. They still charged us for my mother's meal which also had hash browns. I left a tip for the friendly server but we will not be returning.
(1)Anjrew C.
(5)Marci S.
Everything is good, but the sweet potato pancakes are just ridiculous. If there's a line when you get here, just wait in it. It moves fast and it's well worth it!
(5)Hillary V.
Be prepared to wait a bit on Sunday morning or just avoid the church crowd. GREAT food.
(4)Edie A.
Homestyle cooking, rustic and homey, clean and great staff. There's a reason people wait in line, but the line moves quickly, no worries. Very popular with locals and lots of return visits by visitors.
(5)Caroline A.
(3)Robert P.
(5)Lyn R.
My mom was there for her first time last week and mentioned it to me. We went today and let me say by saying it was amazing! The place looked very homey and laid back, the staff were super friendly and fast, the food was BEYOND amazing and the prices are great! We will deff be returning soon and will probably become regulars there!
(5)Hardea L.
Okay so here is what happened i ordered a ssausage plate with biscits and also gravy and let me just tell you I had a food baby and also gave birth to it prematurely!! I was full and it was taste! Nice waitress she said hello!
(5)Myrrh R.
(3)Charlie K.
(5)Lindsay H.
(4)Eric L.
Best choice for breakfast in Central StPete!
(4)Greg A.
Greasy spoon that always seems to be packed. Good home cooking, big portions with fast service. Like to go here for my 'fix' of comfort food.
(3)Terry W.
(5)Matthew J.

Another satisfied customer! Tip: get the fresh tangerine juice it is heavenly!

Was staying on the beach so I used Yelp to find a place to eat and the reviews led me here. Boy am I glad it did the breakfast was good and portions were big. The sausage bisquets and gravy were just what I needed to fight the hangover.

The Eggs Benedict was good and enough to share for two.

IMPORTANT: Even if there is only one space in the parking lot there will still be tables available inside. Don't run because the parking lot is almost full. I have eaten here several times. Nice size portions, not big enough for two full meals but last time I took half of the assorted fruit home to eat later. The staff is friendly and the décor is nicer than Kristina's. Short hours though, only 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. whereas Kristina's is 24 hours. If Couzins is open it is my first choice with Kristina's a close second and the chain diners nearby not even in the game. Couzins has made my must go list for when I have out of town visitors, along with Sylvia's, Dairy Inn, and Lorenes Fish. Yes, a diverse group, but variety is a good thing. They all share the attribute of high quality.

Best blueberry pancakes on earth! Excellent service and breakfast, highly recommend.

(5)Liz M.
